Friday:

After work, Pat and I took the train to NYC for the Billy Joel concert.  When we got to NYC, we HAD to get some pizza first. Let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS. We then walked over to the concert.  Funny little story: Our tickets had a B next to the seat section. When we got into the concert and were told where our seats were, an older guy told Pat, “B stands for bar stool”, to which Pat laughed and said, “oh yeah, do they come with a bar too?”. They both laughed and we proceeded to our seats, which were BAR STOOLS!!  (You will see a picture below.)  I have NEVER been to a concert where some of the seats were bar stools.  I think everyone that was in our section questioned if they were really our seats and if they were in the right area because they never heard of it either.  I must say though, we really liked the seats. For one, we didn’t have to constantly get up to let people by to go to the bathroom, like you often do in concerts. Also, we had a little bar like table in front of us to rest drinks on, and there was a bar with drinks and food right behind us with no line.  I would definitely sit in a section like that again.

The concert was AWESOME!!    At one point in the show, AC/DC came on stage with Billy Joel!!

As with every other Billy Joel concert I have been to, it was a great time.

We took the 11:18 train back to NJ, which got us back to NJ at 12:40 or so.  We then had a 20 min. ride home from the train station.  On the way home, we stopped at Dunkin Donuts because I had wanted a coffee from there all night. So many people always say that can’t have coffee after a certain time at night or they aren’t able to sleep.. NOT this girl!  🙂  I can drink coffee shortly before bed and have no problem at all going to sleep. Then again, I never really drink coffee to wake me up, I just drink it because I like the taste.

Happy Thursday!  How has your week been so far?

1- The other night I made spaghetti squash topped with freshly roasted cherry tomatoes for dinner.  It was DELICIOUS!!  I really need to make this more often.

2- I just bought this face mask after seeing so many rave reviews about it and I can’t wait to try it.

3- Pat and I are going to see Billy Joel in NY on Fri. and I am so excited.  I have seen Billy Joel in concert several times before and he always puts on such a great show.

Happpppy Friday!

– Lately I have been watching lots and lots of beauty how to / review videos on You Tube. I definitely don’t wear much makeup (most days during the week just mascara) but I find them so interesting.  I also love to hear reviews about products that I may not have otherwise known about.

– I have been doing a lot of research about the Clarisonic Mia 2.

I never had much of a desire for one, but lately the more things I hear about it, the more I want one. There are so many great reviews about it and the wonderful effect it has on the skin. The only thing I don’t like about it —> the price.  Do any of you guys have one?  Would you recommend it? I am also not sure what type of brush head I should get.  I have somewhat sensitive skin and I believe they all come withe the sensitive head brush, but I also heard mixed reviews about the deep pore cleansing brush.

– Last week Pat and I started watching True Detective.

The first episode was a little slow moving, so I was not sure if we would like it, but we’re now up to the 5th or 6th episode and like it a lot.

– Have you guys heard of the new line of Crest toothpaste .. Be Adventurous – Mint Chocolate?

When I first heard of it, I thought, ewww that’s strange.  The more I think about it though, the more intrigued I am about how it tastes. I love the mint / chocolate combo, but I am just not sure how it would be when it comes to toothpaste.

Hey guys!

Happy Saturday!  Long time no talk, huh?

Let’s see, what’s been going on in my life .. nothing too exciting.  Lots of work, reading, and getting over a horrible cold that I’ve had for the last week.  Oh, and our dryer broke earlier this week, which I am NOT happy about.  I do laundry every single day so I feel lost without my washer / dryer.  Thankfully I am still able to use the washer but some things are not the easiest to let hang dry – like towels and sheets.   I washed towels earlier this week and let them hang in the bathroom for the day.  Later that night, the towels were hard as a rock. ughhh!!  I looked up tips online regarding this and saw several websites recommended putting 1/4 cup of vinegar in the washing machine, along with the detergent.  I tried this and it helped soften them up A LITTLE, but I still want my dryer back!!   Someone is supposed to come look at it tomorrow sometime from 8 AM – 12 PM and I can’t wait!!

Last night I came home and decided to give Bosco a bath after work. He looks absolutely thrilled about this decision.

After Bosco’s bath, we had some pizza for dinner and then I baked some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.  YUM!

Oh, and while I waited for the cookies to bake, I may or may not have sampled some of this deliciousness.

verdict —> AWESOME!!!

Well, time to take Bosco for his morning walk, go food shopping, and then get my nails done.

Since I’ve had a French on my nails for the last few weeks, I think it may be time to switch things up a bit this time.
