Hey guys!
After we checked into our room, we decided to walk around and find something to eat.
Being that we both love country music, we figured Toby Keith’s bar would be the perfect place to have lunch.
I started with one of the best and biggest margaritas I’ve ever had.
The margarita was $18 but it was so worth it (and I drank every drop of it .. Pat was impressed!). We also shared an appetizer of fried macaroni and cheese which was delicious. I ordered a barbecue chicken salad and Pat had a burger.
After lunch we decided to walk around some more. One stop we made was at Sugar Factory.
I filled a big bin of candy for $16 and was drooling. I spotted this T-shirt while I was there and made sure to send my sister a text of it. π
We continued to walk around for several hours.
We made a stop at the casino and I even won $150 … woohoo!!
Another stop for a margarita was made. Sadly these margaritas could not compare to the one earlier in the day.
We eventually made our way back to the room, relaxed for a while, and then headed up to the 38th floor of our hotel to watch some fireworks.
Even though we were up quite late on July 4th, we were up bright and early this morning.
We walked downstairs and had breakfast.
After breakfast, we decided to rub elbows with the celebrities. π
Hanging out with celebrities all day is really exhausting, so we needed to stop for a bite to eat. We went to Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar.
We decided to share an appetizer of chicken wings and pepperoni wrapped breadsticks (which came with a side of provolone cheese dipping sauce).
After a wonderful lunch, we walked around the strip for a few more hours.
We were both super tired from walking around literally all day long so we made a necessary stop for some ice cream.
We’re now back in our room eating some snacks and watching TV while I write up this post.
Tonight we are going to a comedy show and will probably just grab a quick dinner before we go.
Have a great night and I’ll be back within the next few days with a new recap of our vacation. π
Fun photos!
Thanks! π
Looks like a great time! I LOVE Vegas. I am in the midst of planning a girls trip back in January. Have a great time at the comedy show. π
I would be DANGEROUS in Sugar Factory. Goodness gracious I love bulk candy bins. A bit too much.
That margarita is HUGE! Way to finish it, I know I couldn’t π Looks like a fun trip!
Fun! I’ll bet being in Vegas on the 4th would be a blast. The hotel with Toby Keith’s restaurant is the one we stayed at when we went. So much fun on the strip!
I’ve never been to Vegas but I feel like I need to get there at some point (just to say that I’ve been!) It hasn’t been high on my places to visit but I’m sure there are fun things for every person there π Also – that margarita is hysterical!
I feel like after seeing your posts about Vegas and another bloggers, I need to book a trip ASAP. Those margaritas seem like they’re worth the 4 hour plane ride π So far, what’s your favorite thing you’ve done or visited in Vegas?
Looks like you guys are having a blast!
Looks like fun! I hate how expensive breakfast in Vegas is but loved every meal that i had there : )
