Hey guys,
Well, I finally did it – I made an appt. to see the dentist on October 23. I am embarrassed to say this, but it will be my first time at the dentist in about 10 years. EEKK!!!! My sister is a dental hygienist and she has cleaned my teeth many times over the last few years, but I haven’t been to an actual dentist appt. in years. While I do take great care of my teeth, I also have a huge sweet tooth and love candy, so I am not looking forward to it. I know it needs to happen though.
Well, I am off to go brush my teeth and floss. 🙂
Have you ever went years without going to the dentist? If not, please just lie to me and make me feel better. 🙂

The dentist is a super gentle giant these days, so to speak, you will be fine and you can be absolutely certain they have seen people who have not visited a dentist in a lot longer than 10 years.
seriously tho, going to the dentist is one of my favorite things!! not the actual process, but afterward..it feels like you just got a brand new mouth. THEE best!
I have not been to the dentist for a while, either. 🙂 It’s probably okay, because every time I went, they would always say – ‘looks good’ – and that was it. I hope your appointment goes well! (Oh! I loved the middle meme!)
Hahaha I used to go once or twice a year but I haven’t been now since I graduated college, so almost two years. Yikessss. Good luck!! It’s never as bad as you think it’s gonna be 🙂
YES! I have! Last year, I finally booked an appointment for myself, hubby and little boy (I was pregnant so could go for free) and it was the first time since my little boy was born (about 5 1/2 years) – the time I went then was also because I could go for free and that time it was the first in 12 years! I’m rubbish. Both times were fine though 🙂

Yes, holy cow I’m pretty much in the same boat as you! But I’m still trying to ignore it! Haha.
I hate the dentist too! I need to go have a couple of cavities filled but need to wait until after the baby comes. There is no way I’d sit through all of that dental work without anesthesia of some sort (and that’s not a possibility while prego!)
