2014 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 6,400 times in 2014. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 5 trips to carry that many people.

Weekend Recap

Hey guys!

On Friday I had a 1/2 day off from work.

A peek into my very exciting 1/2 day off …

Someone was not very happy that his afternoon nap was interrupted (at least that’s what I took his constant grunting while in the bath to mean). 🙂

The rest of my day off consisted of food shopping and wrapping some gifts. One of the gifts that was delivered was a gift that I bought for myself.

How cute is this key ring with Bosco’s picture that I made on Shutterfly?! I love it!

Friday night Pat and I met some of his friends for dinner. The steakhouse that we went to did not take reservations, but when we called the night before, we were told there should not be much of a wait. Well, that was not the case and we ended up having to wait 1 1/2 hrs. for a table. Although the wait was definitely a little frustrating, the food and company was great.

Saturday morning started with a walk with the Shih Tzu followed by breakfast.

After breakfast, I went to get my nails done.

The rest of Saturday was spent doing some last minute Christmas shopping for Pat, reading, hanging out with Bosco while Pat was out Christmas shopping, and lounging on the couch.

Saturday night we got pizza for dinner – sausage and pepperoni for Pat, margherita pizza for me, and Bosco had a few bites of pizza crust. 🙂

The rest of the night was spent watching TV together on the couch.

Sunday morning started off with another walk with the Shih Tzu.  Before we left for our walk, we needed to see how Bosco looked in the new scarf that someone bought for Pat.

quite sophisticated if I do say so! 🙂

When Bosco and I got back from our chilly walk, we all took a ride to get some coffee and bagels for breakfast. After breakfast, Pat went to the gym and I took a shower and did some laundry.  Speaking of laundry, did I tell you guys that the replacement washer that we got (you know, the one that broke after just 2 days!!), also broke after just a few days??  We returned that model to the store and got a completely different washer, which we have been very happy with so far.

We had some leftover pizza for lunch and then went to a few stores that I needed to go to (Trader Joe’s, Target, and A&P).

I may have also needed a Caramel Brulee Frappuccino.

It was delicious in case you are wondering. 🙂

Have a great night! 🙂

How was your weekend?

Reunited with Nutella and other randomness

Well look what I received in the mail yesterday. I have not bought you in a very long time, Nutella, but this is obviously a sign that we need to be reunited.

I made a much needed trip to Trader Joe’s just in time for lots of new (to me at least) treats!

Isn’t this month’s Birchbox so pretty??!!

I could look at this face all day long.

I need to get ready to leave for the gym.  Tonight I have my work Christmas party, which should be fun.

Have a great day, guys! 🙂

It may be Monday, but …

I finally got to try the new S’mores Quest bars! As with every flavor that I have tried, I thought they were awesome!

I got a fun, sparkly color on my nails this weekend that I will have the pleasure of looking at for the next 2 weeks.

I have this tasty looking ice cream just waiting to be sampled in my freezer.

Tickets have been purchased for the Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney concert in August!  I.CAN’T.WAIT!!!!

And last but not least, it may be Monday but I have the cutest little Shih Tzu known to man. 🙂

Five Things Friday

Bosco was apparently not happy with the way I made the bed this morning, so while I was in the shower he decided to do it himself. He made sure to fluff up the comforter and sheets and clear most of his toys off the bed as well.

There is going to be a Whole Foods only 0.9 miles from my house soon. I am THRILLED that I will be able to go there whenever I want and not have to drive 30 mins. to the closest one anymore. What I am not thrilled about – that it will be built where my gym currently is.  Several weeks ago, I heard a rumor that my gym might close and last week I found out the rumor was true.  I am very, very upset.  Pat and I both loved everything about our gym (it was only $10 / month, less than a mile our house, and the atmosphere was awesome). The gym is going to close on 12/31/14, so we only have a few weeks to decide on a new one.

Remember how I said I was so excited about our new washing machine in my last post? Well said washing machine worked great for a total of TWO DAYS!!!  We got the machine delivered on Saturday and by Monday, it no longer worked.  I went to take a load of wash out of the machine to find the clothes covered in suds and still very, very wet.  Several loads of wash have been done since, and most resulted in the same thing – lots of suds and the need to rinse and spin the load again. We are scheduled to have a new one delivered tomorrow, but I am concerned we could have the same problems with it since I read many reviews of the machine online that voiced the same situation as we had. We shall see.

I love Luke Bryan and need to see him in concert one day very soon.  How awesome is this video??

Well, that is all I have to share with you fine people today.  I came down with a horrible cold or sinus infection earlier this week and have felt like crap. I see a lot of tea, couch time, and resting in my weekend.

Have a great weekend! 🙂
