This weekend Pat and I attended the wedding of my sister’s best friend, Katie. They have been friends since kindergarten, so she is like part of the family. We had a great time and Katie looked absolutely beautiful.

New book and door, vet visit, Bath and Body Works trip, and makeup advice

Hey guys!

Happy Saturday! Could I have fit anything else into that blog title?? 🙂 How is your weekend going so far?

I have lots of stuff to fill you guys in on, so let’s get started.

On Monday, we got 2 new front doors for the house, as per the suggestion of our realtor.

I really like the color that we picked for the door. What do you guys think?

I am proud to say that I actually made it to the gym today. I was undecided if I wanted to go or not, but am glad that I did. I do have to thank this man for getting me through my workout though!

This AM we took Bosco to the vet because we found a growth on his face that we’ve never seen before.

He has a lot of cysts on his body (it is pretty common for his breed, especially for his age), but this growth was unlike the others he has. I did not like the look of it at all and was honestly really concerned that it could be skin cancer. I am SO SO SO thankful that it isn’t. The vet said that it was due to a virus (that his immune system should fight off on its own). He said he would recommend getting it removed eventually, but there is no rush to get it done immediately.

Speaking of Bosco, this was a picture that I took of him the other day right before I left for work.

Someone looked very sleepy and I have a feeling that his watchdog duties may not have been up to par that day. 🙂

After we got home from the vet this AM, I made a stop at Bath and Body Works.

This my friends, is reason #125895426580000 that I love Fall. FYI – The Maple Sugar Kiss smells UNBELIEVABLE! I think you should get some for yourself – like yesterday!!

I also started a new book today.

I LOVED Still Missing and That Night (2 of the best books I have read in a very long time!) by Chevy Stevens so I am excited to read this new book of hers.

Do any of you watch How to get away with Murder?

I love the show and am so excited for the new season that starts on Thursday!

Now for some makeup advice. Next weekend Pat and I are going to my sister’s best friend’s wedding. I am going to MAC to get my makeup done that AM, but am still unsure what I want to get done.

The last time Pat and I were in Aruba, we decided to hide some pictures of my dad, since it was shortly after he passed away and Aruba was one of his favorite places to vacation. Although we were upset that we didn’t find either of the 2 pictures we placed on the island 2 years ago, we received a much stronger sign that he was still with us. As we were driving on this pilgrimage, we had the radio station on 104.3 (which just so happened to be his favorite station back at home). We looked at the radio and “rschil” scrolled across the screen several times (Robert Schillinger was his name). Although there have been times over the last 2 years that I thought my dad may have been trying to tell me that he was with me, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that he was with us today. XOXO

Hey guys!

Happy Tuesday! I have 3 more days of work and then I will be off for a week (and on vacation in Aruba!!).

I CAN’T WAIT to have a week to relax and get away with Pat. I will miss this cute little face like crazy though!

I still have a bunch of things to do before we leave, but just wanted to pop in and say hi.

September … AKA the month before my absolute favorite month of the year! 🙂

I bought this maxi dress last year but kinda forgot about it. I decided to wear it to work today and got so many compliments on it. The best part – I bought it at Target and think it was only $25 or so.
